Hi everyone, well I’m back from my holiday to Dalyan Turkey, had a fab time and it was very hot there, definitely go back there sometime.
Anyway… lets talk Christmas lol, For my Creative Expressions posts its Christmas in July (I’m a couple of days early) so Ill be showing Christmas cards for July, I normally start making mine around September but I know a lot of you start early.
On this card I have cut the 1st layer 6.5″ square coconut white card matt onto vintage gold foundation card. The next layer is 5.5″ square coconut white card with the Sue Wilson festive collection sentiment bauble die cut into it ( just the inside of the die), then embossed it with a folder. Cut out the bauble again and glued the die cut over the bauble cutout. I then got a piece of vintage gold card, enough to cover the bauble cut out , stuck it onto a piece of sticky sheet, peeled off the other side and sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer golden sand glitter onto it and stuck it onto an A4 sheet of vintage gold card so the glitter piece is under the bauble cut out. Stick foam tape onto the back and matt onto the vintage gold and cut around the card leaving a narrow edge. Next I stuck a piece of Vintage gold card to a sticky sheet and cut out the Sue Wilson classic poinsettia, peeled off the sticky sheet and sprinkled the golden sand glitter over the flower, I repeated this twice, then shaped all the petals and layered them up to make a full poinsettia. Cut out the ivy in gold card from the Sue Wilson Greek island corner, border & tag set and inked it in green. then assembled to the card with the poinsettia. Finished card 7″ square.
Thanks for looking. Check out my Facebook page for a different card.
So Im still using the Sue Wilson Lisbon die, and the fold over flower die for this week but in a different way. First I cut my base layer at 7″ square, matt onto blush card, then I created a background using a mask and cosmic shimmer sparkle paste and glued to the base layer. Then created a frame 6″ square, cut out 4 of the fold over strips (smaller one) and glued to the frame, cut out the Lisbon dies, cut in half and glued under the frame. Then I cut out and stamped my sentiment onto Sue Wilson pierced flags and glued to the top corner, then I mounted all that with foam pads and placed over my background. Then I cut 3 strips of the small fold over flower die in blush card and created a rosette, made a messy ribbon bow, attached to the card and added a pearl in the centre. Finished card 7.5″.
Next month we are talking Christmas, I love Christmas but its a little strange to get in the festive mood this early in the year as when this post goes live on Monday, Ill be sunning myself in hot Turkey LOL.

Every Monday I will post a card made from items that Creative Expressions have sent me to use, so today I have something a little different to share with you. The stamp is called Floribunda, I have coloured it with Creative Expressions iridescent shimmering water colour paints in set 3-Autumn sunrise and set 4-summer garden, I really don’t do much colouring as I’m not that good at it but its nice to have a go at something different now and again. Also used Sue Wilson Lisben die which I cut in half and glued behind the stamped image. The sentiment is from the ‘Amazing’ stamp set. the ribbon is also from Creative Expressions. All made with foundation card in milk colour. and matt and layered in blush card.

Hi everyone, can I just say a huge Thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave lovely comments, I really do appreciate it. xxx
So onto todays card, its my post for Creative Expressions, the items I have used are…foundation card in coconut white and blush, Sue Wilson dies I have used are Lisbon die set, fold over die, finishing touches maiden fern, the sentiment is from the ‘Amazing’ stamp set, diamond snow glitter, sticky adhesive sheets, 3mm pearls, pink ribbon. felt.
The finished card measures approx 7″x5″, so the 1st base layer I cut a little smaller than that in coconut white and matt & layered it onto blush card, the next layer measures approx 6.5″x 4.5″ cut in coconut white and stuck it onto a piece of sticky adhesive sheet, peeled back the layer and coated it with diamond sparkles to give it a subtle glitter effect, stamped my sentiment into the corner, mounted that with foam pads and stuck to the 1st layer. cut out my lisbon dies, cut them in half, and glue to the edge of the card, cut the fold over die in blush card and thread ribbon through it, added 3mm pearls then glue it onto of the lisbon die cuts on the edge. Cut out the fold over dies again in felt, make up the flowers and add a pearl to the centre, add the maiden fern die cut and felt flowers. few pearls in the top corner and you are done. Its a shame you cant really see in the photo the lovely subtle sparkle of this card from the diamond sparkles.
If you pop over to my Facebook page later, there is a different card for you to see
